I wus lennin a haun till ma friens tha day....we were bailing in the wee fields above Greyabbey, the photo shows the Montgomery home in the background, Sir Hugh Montgomery arrived here in 1606 and i am sure he must have stood in the same wee field we were working in and surveyed the lands he claimed from Irish Chieftain Con O'Neill !

If you have never seen a pheasant's nest before,here is a wee picture of one...i was walking across the field and stooped down to lift this old bit of whinn bush when i saw the clutch of eggs.. it is no wonder the fox gets so many of them ...there was no cover except this stick or two!
