Gilford event-fundraiser

Last night was a fund raiser for African missions.. a mission representative gave us a short talk on life out there and the great work being done!... a couple of the acts were unable to make it last night but the pictures show those who took part...Louise Martin was doing her first public performance and was backed by the Alastair Scott Ceilidh Band an wersels!...good to have shared the night with you all folks!...P.S. it was 1.30 am. when we got home and i had to be up at 4.30am. to get breakfast for my brother -in-laws dairy cows ( he's on holiday) that is his farm manager having a power shower in the picture above! just one of the perks you get when workin on a farm!..hey...go to our low country boys home page scroll down to the bottom and click on myspace, there is a we song we recorded about workin on the farm!! have a listen and see what you are missin!

Friends of Africa Mission booking..Gilford

Low Country Boys will be taking part in a fund raising concert on the 26th of march .. a fund raiser for African Missions.. several folk will be taking part ...the venue is Gilford Orange Hall..8pm we will find out who the other participants are and post it here later.

Ballygawley Presbyterian Church

There was a great crowd at the Ballygawley event, folk were sitting round the stage and in the foyer... 4 young yins fae Ballyreigh Presbyterian took pert and 7 fae Ballygawley! also Margaret Johnston from Brookborough and wersels... Margaret had taken part in a concert with us some years ago in Southern Ireland, she will be releasing a new album later in the year and we may be helping out with that ..will keep you posted! Proceeds from the event were in aid of church extension in Africa.... Sorry about the quality of some of the photos.. i drove the tractor over my good camera and am using an old one at the minute!

Woodburn Presbyterian Concert

This Friday..5th of March @ 8.00pm .. Low Country Boys will be taking part in a musical evening at Woodburn Presbyterian Church Hall, participants are Ruth St. John, Jim Ervine and family and Low Country Boys.... we will back Ruth and her husband Paul who plays pedal steel guitar, for some of their songs...it should be a great evening, light supper provided... see you there....

Cairncastle Soiree with Tony Collins

Last Thursday low country boys went out to a concert to hear Belfast Community Gospel Choir who were great!..but while there we bumped into a man Tony Collins and Matthew his son,together we took part in the Moniaive festival a few years back, he invited us up to the Cairncastle festival soiree ... here are a few picks... thanks Tony and Matthew.. great to see you again...Low Country Boys!
